Jamal Damien is a Chicago based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator. Hailing from Pennsylvania, Damien is most known for his trumpet performance. 

Being a drummer and pianist, Jamal uses his understanding of rhythm and harmony to influence his process of composing and creating. 

Damien accredits his sound and approach to musical greats such as Freddie Hubbard, John Coltrane, Roy Hargrove, and Ambrose Akinmusire. 

Damien graduated from The Eastman School of Music in 2021 where he studied with world renowned trumpet player Clay Jenkins. Damien currently studies with Chicago greats Ernest Dawkins and Vincent Davis.
