The Panhandlers

The Panhandlers bring a danceable blend of New Orleans funk, jazz, and blues to the Chicago scene. A long time project of pianist Aaron Leese, this group focuses on second line rhythms, creole rhapsodies, and blues sensibilities. After a hiatus (courtesy of the pandemic, and some small children), the Panhandlers are resurrected and roaming the streets again. The perfect music for drinking whiskey, dancing slowly, conjuring philosophy or plotting a bloodless coup. Come what may, we shall play.
