About the event
After moving to Chicago in 2014, Joey became enamored with music of Dennis Carroll and George Fludas whom he heard play regularly with Ron Perrillo, Bobby Broom, Tom Garling and Hinda Hoffman. In early 2020, the opportunity arose for Joey to lead a trio with the beloved Chicago masters. Since then he has been developing his own sound through a love for swing, the blues and original presentations of the classic song.
